  •  Fortaleza and Miami (USA) are among the destinations that will enhance the air network during this period;
  •  Recently, the airport experienced growth with new operations to the North, with flights to Rio Branco (AC) and Boa Vista (RR);
  •  The expansion is part of VINCI Airports' strategy to strengthen Manaus as a national hub.

More flights, more destinations, and more connectivity. This will be the scenario at Manaus Airport during the 2026 summer tourism season. Between June and August, the airport, managed by Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, a member of VINCI Airports, will have its air network reinforced, further connecting Amazonas and contributing to the arrival of tourists to the state during one of the busiest periods of the year.

Among the highlights is the expansion of flight offerings between Manaus and Fortaleza (CE), which will see an increase of up to 100% at the peak of the season in July. Operated by LATAM, the route began receiving seasonal reinforcement starting this June. After recording seven weekly frequencies in May, the operation increased to an average of ten flights per week in June, will reach 14 weekly frequencies in July, and will have an average of 11 weekly flights in August.

The route is operated with 180-seat aircraft and will return to the regular frequency of seven weekly flights in September. Additionally, there is a weekly frequency between Manaus and Fortaleza with GOL, inaugurated regularly last May.

While residents of Amazonas will have more opportunities to enjoy one of the most sought-after destinations in the Brazilian Northeast, foreigners also have more options to explore the Amazon rainforest. In June, GOL started flights on the seasonal route between Manaus and Miami (USA), precisely during the high season of the North American market, the main international source of tourists to Amazonas.

According to estimates by the State Tourism Company (AmazonasTur), the country accounts for about 30% of international visitors coming to the state. There are two weekly flights operated with aircraft that have a capacity for 186 passengers.

The increase in operations for the holiday period adds to other expansions implemented throughout 2026 at Manaus Airport. In April, GOL started the regular operation of the direct route between Manaus and Boa Vista (RR), strengthening the integration between the capitals of the Northern Region, with two weekly flights. Between June 21 and July 31, the route will be expanded to three frequencies per week, including Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays.

Another expansion occurred on the Manaus-Rio Branco route. Since May, the frequency of flights has doubled, increasing from three to six weekly operations, expanding travel options between the states of the Northern Region. Both airports are managed by VINCI Airports.

The increase in flight offerings is another positive result of the strategy adopted by VINCI Airports to transform Manaus into one of Brazil's main air connection centers. Investments began in 2022. In 2025, Manaus Airport received 3.356 million passengers, a growth of 14% compared to the previous year and the best result recorded in recent years.

The CEO of Concessionária dos Aeroportos da Amazônia, Kleyton Mendes, highlights: "Expanding the connectivity of the Amazon is one of our priorities. The growth of the air network that is happening reflects this commitment and strengthens Manaus's strategic role in the region. We will continue to strive to ensure more flights materialize, more connections happen, and that they are filled with the best experiences at the airport."
